You brought them, these roses, your hands; you came with joy and brought each plot to blossom. I've a garden now, gone to plush. It's not the dust of all that other any more. It's your face, it's your mouth, it's the way your fingers retreat to a kiss. Will you dance under moonlight? Will you dance, shoulders glowing, each footfall a song? Will you bleed, love, for me, past thought, into bone? Strange. Your fingers discover song in pollen, smudge scent from the weeds. Even the crickets can see you're beautiful.
