MK-O: POEMS INSPIRED BY MARK Poem by Diana (chasingcomets): "The Dance" Posted September 7 2008 (Inspired by “The Dance,” choreographed by Mia Michaels, and performed by the SYTYCD Season 4 Top 16 dancers) Heart screams, filled with rage, Beating on with the ticking of time. Dejected, rejected, But going through the motions. Hiding, smiling, Sadness and sorrow break through. The truth is there Underneath the disguise. Frozen and paralyzed, All emotion suspended, Dammed up, to protect the heart From the agony and despair. Such blockades cannot hold, And a little leaks, here and there. A whimper, a tear, And all at once, it rushes back. The rage, the pain, the sorrow, All flowing at great speed, Only confusion left in the wake But the heart soldiers on. The mind takes control, And feelings once running loose and free Begin to dance again, Careful, controlled, stifled. The mind is proud of healing the heart, But innocence is lost, Freedom is gone, When the heart is so chained.
