MK-O: POEMS INSPIRED BY MARK Poem by Diana (chasingcomets): "Starry Night" Posted December 5 2008 It's been night here too long. The onyx sky is covered in dismal gray clusters, and chilling wet raindrops leave me drenched and obscure my vision. Yet through a split in the clouds, I detect a speck of light, a shimmering star, struggling to be heard in the dark. Brighter and brighter it grows, as parting clouds reveal more and more of its dazzling gleam that sings to me under the sable sky. But I soon realize, it is no single star alone and lonely, but a shiny congregation, a celestial family, radiating as one. The sun is still sleeping, and the night persists, still cold, still dark. But with the brilliance of that gathering of stars, it's not so hard to see the way.
