MK-O: POEMS INSPIRED BY MARK Poem by Diana (chasingcomets): "Pieces" Posted November 10 2008 I started out whole, but life broke me into pieces, held together with schoolroom paste. Over time, it dried and weakened, and pieces began to fall, one here and one there. And soon what remained was a jumble of nothing, dark and meaningless. But you came with your light, and showed me where to find them, all those pieces I thought were gone, some I never knew I had to begin with. You guided me as I put them back together, putting some back where they started, finding new homes for others, and throwing away a few I no longer needed. But I cannot let you be the glue that holds the new me together, as much as I might want you to be. Starting today, I will be whole, and I will be stronger, for I will be my own glue.
