MK-O: STAR BULLETIN STORY ABOUT MARK  click above to read the story from star bulletin's site or read it below: Hawaii dancer makes competition's Top 20 By Honolulu Star Bulletin Staff Making it into the Top 20 of "So You Think You Can Dance" is an exciting opportunity for Castle High School graduate Mark Kanemura, but it's been something else, too -- painful. "My knees are all bruised, my toes are bleeding. It's so much harder than I ever, ever imagined," he said in a phone call yesterday. "Even sleeping hurts." Kanemura, 24, debuts in competition on the Fox show tonight. He auditioned in March in Los Angeles, then survived callbacks in Las Vegas. For the last week, Kanemura said, he's been in strenuous rehearsals that have left him hurting. "I think I'm the grandpa of the group. Not in age, but in the way I'm walking." Kanemura, the son of Nora Schubert and Mark Kanemura, works in Honolulu as a teacher with 24-7 Dance Force and a server at Kochi, a Japanese restaurant. He has also danced at Tokyo Disneyland and directed and choreographed performances for Norwegian Cruise Lines. The finalists will dance in pairs starting tonight, then the public will vote. Tomorrow, dancers in the three lowest-scoring teams will solo for the judges, after which one guy and one gal will be sent home.
