MK-O: SYTYCD-RELATED STORY ABOUT MARK'S MAMA  click above to read the story from HGEA's site or read it below: Unit 13 member’s son is a contestant on hit dance tv show Unit 13 member Noralynn Schubert is asking her fellow union members to VOTE Wednesday nights for her son Mark Kanemura, who is one of the remaining 18 finalists on the hit television show "So You Think You Can Dance"! The dance competition reality series airs on KHON2 FOX on Wednesday (performance show) and Thursday nights (results show). Check TV listings for exact air times. Schubert, a probation officer at the Family Court First Circuit, said, "The whole family is so happy for Mark! And it's great for Hawaii, too! "That industry is so hard to break through it's especially difficult for someone who lives in Hawaii to be able to have this opportunity. It's surreal to see him do this -- a Hawaii kid going up there and getting national exposure. Finally! This is his moment!" Voting is free* and you can vote as often as you wish. Each contestant is assigned a toll-free telephone number during the performance. Viewers can vote for contestants by calling those phone numbers. The contestant(s) with the least amount of votes will be eliminated from the competition. So vote as often as you can! (Go to www.fox.com/dance for details.) Kanemura, who beat out thousands of hopefuls for a spot in the Top 20, has been dancing since he was 12 years old. His first role was in Diamond Head Theatre's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." "Mark was always an entertainer," Schubert said. "At family parties, he would gather the little kids and have them put on a production for the family. And he always made sure each child had a part in the show.
