"I actually started dancing in musical theatre. The reason I got into it was because I saw Phantom of the Opera when it came down to Hawaii. After I saw my first huge show I was just soooo blown away by it! My parents put me in a school that had a performing arts program and we'd study like ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and tap. At the time I was the only male dancer in like the ENTIRE school... so that was kind of weird because everyone knew me as like 'Mark the Only Boy Dancer'. And on top of that I was such a weird little kid! I didn't dress cool and what not... so I was always a little ... different! [Laughs]"
